Über Uns: Karl Kampka Oberflächentechnik

We are working for over 30 years to extend the lifetime of our customer´s products. Our techniques and our quality standards create high quality and durable materials. Thus we make a significant contribution to the careful use of resources.

Sustainability is the foundation of our work and a central aspect of our responsibility.

Our goal is to keep the impact on the environment as low as possible in all our activities, while at the same time reducing our energy consumption in the long term and constantly improving our energy efficiency.

In March 2022, we installed a photovoltaic system on our company premises. On around 15 984 square foot of roof surface, 810 state-of-the-art photovoltaic panels were mounted for in-house electricity generation. The solar panels can generate clean electricity annually with a peak output of around 300 kilowatt-peak.

In cooperation with the research institute TZM smart&green of the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, we were able to uncover an energy saving potential of approx. 10% in 2022 by analysing the energy flows of our manufacturing processes.

We have been successfully certified according to DIN EN ISO 14001 environmental management since 2012. Energy aspects and data are regularly reviewed. In addition, we determine our CO₂ footprint (CCF) in an annual audit in order to derive targeted measures for the further development of our sustainability commitment. By changing our energy provider, we are been using mainly green electricity since 2022 and climate-neutral natural gas (with CO2 compensation) since 2023.

We continuously search for and develop new processes in which environmentally harmful substances are reduced or replaced by less harmful ones.

Our employees are continuously informed, qualified and motivated on the topics of environmental protection and energy efficiency in accordance with their tasks.
